Then, Hot Toys comes along and release my all time favorite movie character, Robocop. I had seen the movie 3 to 4 times back then and now I own it on Blu Ray. This is my first favorite 1/6 figure from Hot Toys, and I have been quite a follower to their toys.
My second piece is Darth Vader from Medicom, it is very well made figure but I am wary of the quality of materials they used in their clothing. They just do not last. Still, I do like their Star Wars figures.
Then, there is Takara's Batman Begins which at that time looks slightly better than that from Medicom and Hot Toys. Nowadays, Hot Toys kept releasing great looking master pieces from superheros to movie characters and my collections just grow along with it.
Heard that Hot Toys is coming up with Cain as Robocop2. It will be great to have him. Until then, here is Robocop and his nemesis, ED-209.
The color of the armor is not quite the shade of that in movie 1 and the neck is a little thin but I like the rest of it.
ED-209 toes are not movable so it can't really do much more posing than this. Metallic toes would have been great, much like those found in Quarter Macross from Bandai of the anime; Macross Frontier.
I tried ED-209 with a backdrop here but the lighting is just not enough and I would better stick with a clean background. After all, what matters is the sharing of the fine details of the toy.

ReplyDeleteThanks! He is a huge one so I use my 37' LED TV as a backdrop. Took more pictures yesterday but need to edit them. Quite a lot of work but fun.
ReplyDeleteWow! That's one huge backdrop indeed! Yes, its lots of fun! Looking forward to more pictures!
